In Minsk,
Vladimir Putin and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko held a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus. The meeting
was timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the Treaty Establishing the Union State.
As part of the meeting, a package of documents was signed. Also, a separate ceremony for signing interstate documents was held.
Following
the meeting, the presidents of Russia and Belarus made statements for the media.
