During his official visit to China, Dmitry Medvedev visited three cities: Dalian, Beijing, and Shanghai.
In Dalian, the President visited the Russian military cemetery and met with Russian and Chinese World War II veterans. He also visited the Russian Language Centre at the Dalian University of Foreign Languages and met with its professors and students.
In Beijing, Mr Medvedev held Russian-Chinese talks and with President of the People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao participated in a ceremony inaugurating the Russia-China oil pipeline. Besides, Dmitry Medvedev met with Premier of the State Council of the PRC Wen Jiabao and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the PRC Wu Bangguo. Mr Medvedev also visited the Russian Cultural Centre in Beijing.
In Shanghai, the President of Russia took part in the opening ceremony of Russia Day at the 2010 World Expo and then concluded his visit by answering journalists’ questions.
