Commission for Strategic Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector and Environmental Security

The Commission for Strategic Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector and Environmental Security was created to coordinate the work of federal, regional and local executive agencies in developing the fuel and energy sector, ensuring industrial, energy and environmental security, and the rational use and efficient reclamation of the mineral resource base.

Commission for Civil Service and Management Personnel Pool

The Commission’s main goals are preparing suggestions to the President on improving legal and organisational support for the civil service, as well as suggestions on developing state policy on forming the management personnel pool and putting it to effective use, and issues pertaining to the development strategy for Russia’s talent pool. Also, the Commission will be responsible for examining proposals on improving legislation on civil service, materials on civil service reform and development, draft laws and other regulatory acts on civil service, as well as developing recommendations to the governors of Russia’s regions on improving work with regional management personnel pool and its effective use. Moreover, the Commission will look into draft laws and other regulatory acts concerning the creation and effective use of the management personnel pool, as well as training of management personnel, and monitoring and analysing practical application of legislation on civil service. The Commission shall undertake to brief the President on the state of affairs in this area and, in accordance with the President’s instructions, look into other issues falling within its competence.

Commission for Military Technology Cooperation with Foreign States

The Commission for Military Technology Cooperation with Foreign States is an advisory and consultative body that prepares suggestions to the President on key aspects of state policy with regard to military technology cooperation between the Russian Federation and foreign states.


Commission for Screening Candidates for Federal Judges and Terminating Their Powers

The Presidential Commission for Screening Candidates for Federal Judges and Terminating Their Powers is an advisory body under the President of the Russian Federation. Its members help the President execute his constitutional authority to appoint federal judges and to submit recommendations on terminating judges’ powers to the Federation Council of the Russian Federation’s Federal Assembly.


Interdepartmental Commission for the Implementation of the National Programme to Assist the Voluntary Resettlement in Russia of Compatriots Currently Living Abroad

The Interdepartmental Commission for the Implementation of the National Programme to Assist the Voluntary Resettlement in Russia of Compatriots Currently Living Abroad is a collective body that manages and monitors the implementation of the National Programme to Assist the Voluntary Resettlement in Russia of Compatriots Currently Living Abroad.

Commission for State Decorations

The Presidential Commission for State Decorations is an advisory body under the President of the Russian Federation to help the President exercise his constitutional authority to decide on awarding state decorations and conferring honorary titles of the Russian Federation.

Commission for Rehabilitation of the Victims of Political Repression

The Commission for Rehabilitation of the Victims of Political Repression is a presidential consultative body that helps the president to exercise his constitutional powers as guarantor of human rights and freedoms in carrying out Russian Federation Law On Rehabilitation of the Victims of Political Repression of October 18, 1991.

Commission for Citizenship Issues

The Commission on Citizenship Issues is established in order to ensure the constitutional powers of the President of the Russian Federation in addressing matters related to the citizenship of the Russian Federation and granting political asylum.


Commission on Personnel Policy at Certain Federal Government Agencies

The Commission will be entrusted with the following tasks: it will consider submissions by the heads of federal agencies and prepare proposals to the President on appointments to top positions in federal agencies, on the extension of prosecutors’ tenure, on signing service (military service) contracts in excess of the established age limit for service (military service), and on the extension of the term of federal civil service in excess of the established age limit for being in the state civil service; and review background references about candidates for appointment to positions in the prosecutor's office. Other tasks of the Commission are to assess the performance of persons applying for top positions in federal bodies, as well as persons holding top positions in federal bodies; evaluate their professional and personal qualities; and consider issues involving such persons’ compliance with the requirements of Russian anti-corruption laws.


Commission for Veteran Affairs

The Commission for Veteran Affairs is an advisory body under the President of the Russian Federation, created to ensure cooperation between federal, regional and local government agencies, public associations, scientific and other organisations in examining issues pertaining to ensuring social protection of the veterans. Among the Commission’s objectives are preparing suggestions for developing and implementing state policy concerning veterans; state policy on patriotic education and teaching respect toward veterans.

Commission for the Disabled

The Commission for the Disabled is an advisory body under the President of the Russian Federation, created to ensure cooperation between federal, regional and local government agencies, public associations, scientific and other organisation in examining issues pertaining to resolving problems of disability and the disabled in the Russian Federation.

Commission for Development of General Aviation

The Commission for the Development of General Aviation was formed to ensure cooperation between federal and regional executive agencies, as well as organisations participating in the formation and implementation of a unified state policy concerning general aviation, in addition to strategies and development programmes for general aviation.

Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation

The Russian Federation Military-Industrial Commission is a permanent agency created to implement state policy concerning the military-industrial complex, military technology provision for the nation’s defence, state security and law enforcement.

Public commission to nominate candidates for the National Award for Outstanding Achievements in the Field of Human Rights and the National Award for Outstanding Achievements in Charitable Work

The Public Commission on Nominating Candidates for the Russian Federation National Award for Outstanding Achievements in the Field of Human Rights and the National Award for Outstanding Achievements in Charitable Work has been established to review and select candidates for the National Award for Outstanding Achievements in the Field of Human Rights and the National Award for Outstanding Achievements in Charitable Work.


Interdepartmental commission to support Russia’s G20 participation

The interdepartmental commission was established to coordinate federal executive authorities’ efforts to support the participation of the President of Russia in annual G20 summits and promote the Russian Federation’s interests within the G20 framework.


Interdepartmental Commission on Historical Education

The Interdepartmental Commission on Historical Education has been established to ensure effective cooperation between government bodies and the scientific, education and cultural community with a view to upholding the national interests of the Russian Federation related to protecting the historical truth and preserving historical memory, including the prevention of attempts to falsify historical facts, as well as with developing historical education.
