Working visit to Belarus
During a working visit to Belarus, Vladimir Putin took part in a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State, which discussed developing multilateral cooperation in the economic, humanitarian and law enforcement sectors. A package of joint agreements was signed following the meeting. Mr Putin also took part in a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Community’s Interstate Council. The heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Community’s member countries reviewed the organisation’s work and signed documents ending its activity. The President then took part in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, at which the presidents of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan discussed current financial, organisational and technical aspects related to the start of the Eurasian Economic Union’s activity on January 1, 2015.
