Briefing on new composition of the Presidential Executive Office

Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov held a briefing on the new composition of the Presidential Executive Office.

Sergei Ivanov Ivanov Sergei Ivanov SergeiSpecial Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport announced that staffing of the Presidential Executive Office has been completed, with 3100 staff members, including 2350 in the central administrative office. The Presidential Executive Office now consists of 22 directorates and 143 departments.

Two First Deputy Chiefs of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office have been appointed: Vyacheslav Volodin Volodin Vyacheslav Volodin VyacheslavChairman of the State Duma and Alexei Gromov Gromov Alexei Gromov AlexeiFirst Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office . Dmitry Peskov Peskov Dmitry Peskov DmitryDeputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office, Presidential Press Secretary (Presidential Press Secretary) and Anton Vaino Vaino Anton Vaino AntonChief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office , who is supervising organizational issues, were appointed Deputy Chiefs of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office.

There are nine Presidential Aides. Larisa Brychyova Brychyova Larisa Brychyova LarisaAide to the President – Head of the Presidential State-Legal Directorate (Head of the State Legal Directorate) and Konstantin Chuychenko Chuychenko Konstantin Chuychenko KonstantinMinister of Justice of the Russian Federation (Head of the Presidential Control Directorate) maintained their positions as Aides to the President of the Russian Federation. Elvira Nabiullina Nabiullina Elvira Nabiullina ElviraGovernor of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Bank of Russia) (in charge of economic development issues), Yury Ushakov Ushakov Yury Ushakov YuryAide to the President (supervising foreign policy issues), Yury Trutnev Trutnev Yury Trutnev YuryDeputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District , Yevgeny Shkolov Shkolov Evgeny Shkolov Evgeny , Igor Shchegolev Shchegolev Igor Shchegolev IgorPresidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Central Federal District , Andrei Fursenko Fursenko Andrei Fursenko AndreiAide to the President and Tatyana Golikova Golikova Tatyana Golikova TatyanaDeputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation are newly-appointed Presidential Aides.

There are nine Advisers to the President. Alexander Bedritsky Bedritsky Alexander Bedritsky Alexander , Sergei Grigorov Grigorov Sergei Grigorov Sergei , Sergei Ushakov Ushakov Sergei , Mikhail Fedotov Fedotov Mikhail Fedotov Mikhail and Veniamin Yakovlev Yakovlev Veniamin Yakovlev Veniamin maintained their positions. Vladimir Tolstoy Tolstoy Vladimir Tolstoy Vladimir , Igor Levitin Levitin Igor Levitin IgorAdviser to the President, Special Presidential Representative for International Cooperation in Transport , Sergei Dubik Dubik Sergei Dubik Sergei and Anton Ustinov Ustinov Anton Ustinov Anton are newly-appointed Presidential Advisers.

Sergei Ivanov stressed that the newly-formed Presidential Executive Office will not duplicate the functions of the Government and the federal ministries.

The Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office also clarified to the journalists the main duties of Presidential Aide Tatyana Golikova and Presidential Adviser Igor Levitin, who were appointed to these positions in May. Ms Golikova will supervise expanding relations with CIS countries, Abkhazia and South Ossetia; Mr Levitin will be responsible for implementing a project to create a comprehensive transport hub in Moscow.
